Our Mission
SF Quest Kids is a mobile kids camp dedicated to exposing city kids to the natural beauty of the Bay Area and the fun of learning and playing outdoors! Our goal is to teach children to love and respect nature while taking it in with all their senses. We believe there is no better classroom than nature's classroom.
There's no way that we can help children to learn to love and preserve this planet, if we don't give them direct experiences with the miracles and blessings of nature. -Anita Olds
Our Principles
• Exposure to natural environments improves children's cognitive development by improving their awareness, reasoning and observational skills. (Pyle 2002)
• Research shows that children choose to play with other children of all ages. Multiage classrooms reflect the world outside the school walls. One teacher says her most important job is "To set up an environment for 'real' learning--a place where students discover their own autonomy and learn how to help each other. Just like real life." (Goularte 9 )(Michelle Pancoe).
